Sales Engineer – Commercial fleet electric vehicles

Sales Engineer, Energy Storage & EV. salary range £40,000 – £50,000 p.a + bonus. Central London. UK.
We’re looking for an electrical engineer with solid experience of costings / proposals to join our client, a leading investor / development firm focussed on the energy / power generation sector.
You’ll need technical experience of scoping out the works required for electrical installations for low and high voltage projects, ideally from the power generation sector. 
The Company 
The company is an investment / development firm specialising in battery storage projects for large energy using companies.

They have a strong pipeline of opportunities in the commercial vehicle fleet market, combining battery storage with EV charging systems for commercial electric vehicles  – so its quite cutting edge.

The firm is small but dynamic, very fast paced and growing. Their offices are in Mayfair, between Oxford Circus and Green Park.
The role(s) 

You’ll work closely with the Directors of the firm, their clients and extended supply chain to create detailed investment cases / business proposals for a range of commercial energy storage schemes.

You’ll be preparing proposals, costings for small projects involving small power gen-sets at industrial sites or in bus / van depots for fleet operators.
You’re comfortable visiting sites to conduct surveys then producing high level costed proposals for LV electrical works which will include civil works, procuring of transformers, electric vehicle charge points, installation of containerised energy solutions (batteries).
You’ll have a confident approach and be able to handle sub-contractors to quote or execute surveys,
Essential experience 

  • Electrical engineering background
  • Experience of pricing/estimation.
  • Technical experience of scoping out the works required for electrical installations for low and high voltage projects 
  • Ability to work in the HQ in London and visit customers from time to time
  • Evidence of working under your own initiative.
  • London / UK based candidates strongly preferred as quick start required.
  • Fluent English
  • Must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.


A competitive remuneration package is available, based on quality and range of experience c. £40,000 – £50,000 + bonus  (range based on indicative experience of  5-10 years ). Good opportunity for personal growth and responsibility
