The opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, high-calibre solar executive to take responsibility for the growth of Europe’s leading solar asset management firm in the Indian solar market.
 
The firm currently manages a huge solar PV portfolio from centres in Italy, the UK and India and is growing fast in international markets, so career development prospects are excellent. The market in India offers huge potential for growth for professional asset management services. 
 
About you 
 
We’re looking for an exceptional individual; someone with deep knowledge of the Indian solar market, outstanding leadership and business development skills and a track record working effectively in international organisations.
 
You’ll have very strong business development skills as well as an extensive personal network of key influencers in the large-scale solar sector, including investors and asset owners. 
 
You’re comfortable operating in a matrix style organisation and able to create effective relationships with peers and colleagues in international locations. 
 
It’s very likely you have worked in a senior capacity in the Indian solar market as business development director, country manager or MD (or similar), preferably for an international organisation.
 
You’ll have good strategic analysis and planning, skills and the ability to translate these into client products/services and operational delivery plans
 
It’s hugely beneficial if you’ve previously worked in English speaking international environments – (UK / Europe / North America / Australia are ideal.
 
The role
  
You’ll take responsibility for client engagement, service design/development and the profitability of the Indian market.
 
You will build and lead the local team and ultimately own the P&L for India.

Essential Skills & Experience 
 

  • Deep working experience of the Indian / international solar sector
  • Extensive personal network of key influencers / buyers in Indian solar sector
  • Accomplished international operator -experience working outside India in an international organisation
  • Experience working in international matrix organisation 
  • 10 + years in executive leaderships roles  
  • Degree level education 
  • Superb English / Hindi language skills 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Eligible and able to work in Hyderabad, India and travel to sites inIndia and UK HQ
