Junior / Technical Asset Manager – Renewable Energy Investment Fund, Central London, UK. Base salary negotiable c. £35,000 – £45,000 per annum

Play a key role in a small asset management team managing a fast growing portfolio of utility scale solar PV assets.

This is great opportunity to combine commercial and technical skills and over see the performance of a fleet of large-scale solar projects in the UK.

The role is potentially suited to a junior with 18-24 months' experience or a more experienced asset manager with up to 5 years' experience.

The company is a successful investment firm with significant established interest in a range of renewable energy projects and companies and on an acquisition trail for solar projects.

About the role

The Junior Asset Manager role will be responsible for monitoring the production and status of a number of solar PV assets, spread through the UK.

In addition to daily analysis, you will also travel to the respective sites to conduct field-based assessments, and will work closely with the respective maintenance contractors.

Finally, you will also produce frequent financial reports to internal and external stakeholders, as well as any documentation needed for public and governing bodies.

Solar experience is not essential if you have previous experience in wind or other renewable energy technologies.

About you

You will have a good understanding of the renewable energy industry, both from a technical and commercial standpoint, and will be able to pick up new concepts as required.

Strong attention to detail is key, as you will be dealing with data analysis and report preparation – as such, you will have to be precise and consistent in your work.

Finally, you will have exceptional communication skills, as you will engage various stakeholders through the value chain, and will be comfortable in the office and on site.

Essential skills

  • Degree level education (numerate subject) or Masters in Renewable Energy
  • Probably 2-4 years experience in an asset management related role
  • Strong technical and commercial appreciation
  • Knowledge of FiT/ROCs
  • Strong IT Skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic financial skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK

 
Remuneration

The company will pay a competitive basic salary, negotiable depending on experience level, but probably in the range £35,0000 – £45,0000
